Our CEO and Founder, Marvelous Maeze, is an advisor, advocate, and international human rights expert. Marvelous has worked as a legal intern for the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, where she assisted the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the United Nations Population Fund.

Marvelous was a UNA-USA Fellow for the United Nations Foundation. She was awarded the 2023-2024 UNGA Delegate Scholarship, where she represented the interests of youth advocates during the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly.

She previously interned at Foreign Affairs Magazine at the Council on Foreign Relations. She has professional experience as an academic and political researcher.

Marvelous was co-executive chairperson for Human Rights First’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (2022-2024), and chairperson for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She also served as Chair Emerita (2024-2025).

Marvelous earned her Master of Arts (MA) in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with a concentration in international law, international humanitarian law, and women’s rights. Her additional areas of focus were sustainability and international environmental policy.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from New York University’s College of Arts & Science with a focus on international relations and U.S. foreign policy.
